
John Ockerman
In the 1980’s, John Ockerman began developing a microprocessor-based digital data acquisition system with a unique graphical user interface. At that time, the company manufactured and produced several marine type-approved products distributed in the USA and abroad. From that beginning, Mr. Ockerman quickly emerged as a leader in the field of marine systems engineering & systems automation. Mr. Ockerman has since been involved in many sophisticated and technically advanced vessels. He continuously improves the technical and application expertise required to design systems that embody the ideals of balanced levels of technology, human considerations, and application life cycle. Recently John Ockerman has been appointed by Governor Ralph Northam to the Virginia Solar Energy Development and Energy Storage Authority.

Jennifer G. Michaeli, PhD, PE
Dr. Michaeli is a graduate of Webb Institute, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Old Dominion University. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Virginia and Fellow of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME), who has over twenty years of experience as a naval engineer and program manager in both the public sector and defense industries. Dr. Michaeli has worked closely with US and international naval forces to identify operational gaps, explore effective and technical requirements for future needs. With her experiences she has developed new technology platforms and systems to advance operational capabilities. She excels in new program development and program management of complex programs that require integration of diverse Team members and rapid product delivery. For her contributions to the field of naval engineering, Dr. Michaeli has been honored to receive numerous awards.

Bill Blount
Bill Blount has over twenty-five years of maritime leadership experience having worked for Donald L. Blount and Associates, Gibbs & Cox, Vigor and DLBA Robotics. His administrative roles have included executive, commercial and financial management responsibilities. Earlier in his career, his operational roles involved marketing, product development, prototyping and manufacturing. He has a demonstrated track record of expanding business markets providing growth for maritime organizations spanning the defense, commercial workboat, yacht and recreational boat sectors. Bill is a graduate of Old Dominion University.
